The transition from clinical practice into insurance was driven by Cheri’s desire to find a new outlet for her medical knowledge and passion for helping others. Her previous and current roles rely on similar abilities: balancing critical thinking with compassion, thriving in collaborative environments, and communicating clearly to achieve the best outcomes. In the underwriting setting, Cheri combines her clinical insight with thoughtful risk assessment to guide clients and advisors through complex cases while always considering the human side of every decision.
Outside of work, Cheri enjoys life with her husband and two boys—often outdoors, on a hiking trail, at a hockey rink, or on the golf course. A lover of animals, coffee, sunshine, and good books, she finds joy in simple things and believes in cherishing every moment.
