From Practitioner to Strategist—A Letter from Our Founder

The world of personal finance has evolved dramatically. In the past, families relied on separate advisors for every need—investment managers, insurance brokers, accountants, and attorneys.

Each played a role, yet rarely communicated, leaving clients without the benefit of collective insight. But today, the stakes are higher, and the needs of affluent families have grown more complex. True stewardship demands a team with breadth and depth—one that puts the client’s interests above all else, and works in unison to provide clarity, continuity, and confidence.

I launched my practice in 2012—initially serving New York City’s young families and small business owners, solving what I’ve often called the “family medicine” issues of finance.

It was foundational work, where I learned to listen, diagnose, and execute with care.
In these relationships, I realized that trust isn’t built through complexity—
it’s earned by doing the simple things right, every time.

As the years passed, I transitioned into what I think of as the “fellowship” phase of my career—specializing in high-impact insurance and estate planning for clients with more at stake and more complexity in play. That work revealed a valuable insight: our industry is built to reward transactions, not relationships. And that’s a problem.

An insurance-only model allows you to uncover a client’s pain, but rarely gives you the platform—or the time—to address it holistically. And I’ve never been content with band-aid planning or one-dimensional advice.

M+ was born from the idea that clients deserve both the tactical precision of a specialist and the strategic depth of true partnership. We’ve since grown into a planning-first firm that helps ultra-affluent families, founders, and entrepreneurs manage their full financial ecosystem across estate design, tax strategy, insurance structuring, business exits, asset management, long-term protection, and more.
